@gjfwang thanks man, I can’t believe how many people don’t understand this… even some of the people agree’ing that this is a travel don’t understand a thing.
Some people said “His jump stop was too high so it’s a travel”. SMH…. that’s a travel period he had the ball gathered and went up with one foot, the landing is 2 more steps, 3 steps is a travel everywhere but the NBA!
@Zachrydaman You’re the one that’s wrong on the jumpstop.
Its in the nba rulebook and in the nba video rule book that the NBA puts on its website.
You can use a jumpstop to end a dribble. You can’t use it after you already picked up the ball.
Also, if you lift either/both legs after a jumpstop, you have to let ball go before you bring the leg back down.
Go to the rulebook section on nba.com about jumpstops or read the nba rulebook.
TheTwoManGame this is why like NBA even though it has its issues. I am following this training program that’s used by NBA players – 50 inch vertical (dot) com – I already jump several ins taller and dominating on the court!
@magz1142 No ur a fool. U can jump stop and it counts as one step and u still get a pivot foot. Also u can take 2 steps and stop and use the foot u took the 1st step with as a pivot like what rondo does not a travel. No wonder y u fools always calln for travels u dont kno the game.

TheTwoManGame, wow this is beast. That’s spurting from a 5 6 PG who finish alley dunks. I checked out the vertical leap training program over at | 50 inch vertical [dot] com | and gained over 13 inches on my leap.
It was too high for a pro hop. But still, not a travel. U can use ur first step to pro hop and land on two feet.

you’re an idiot. There are legitimate examples of players traveling while attempting a jump stop. This however, is not one of them. The dribble isn’t finished until he does one of two things: 1) Grasps the ball with the hand and another part of his body or 2) holds the ball with one hand underneath or more than 50% below the equator of the ball. Lebron’s dribble isn’t finished until his right hand is placed on the ball. This is when you begin counting steps. He only takes 2 after that.
