I know Europeans are more current on fashion & didn’t want to look dowdy. Thanks

Wear dark blue jeans, a nice warm cream cardigan, and brown boots with 3″ heels. It’s cold/wet in London, so you’ll want a rain proof jacket and possibly a scarf to help keep out the chill.

Just make sure it’s warm and waterproof : ) It’s cold and wet over here. Brown leather boots and tight jeans with baggy wool tops. Autumn colors. They are in fashion right now.
3″ heels on a flight !! … wow … remember feet swell up usually when you’re flying and the one thing you want to be comfortable is your feet … I’d go for comfort, something like trainers
Don’t wear sneakers! They may be comfortable, but aren’t very European (you’ll be pegged as “American” and will be an easier target for pickpockets). If 3″ heels don’t sound appealing for a 7+ hour flight, wear a classy ballet flat (or something similar) that you can slip on and off easily while in flight. (Slip-on flats also are great for going through airport security…)
You’ll be stuck on a plane for several hours, wear something comfortable. No one worries about fashion when they’re flying, even celebrities wear tracksuits on long haul flights.
If you’re worried about looking like a frump, freshen up before the plane lands & carry a clean shirt or top in your hand baggage.
That’s a big worry on flights? No one cares, really. I’d suggest wearing something very comfortable and loose fitting. Layers would also be a good idea as sometimes it can get a bit chill when the plane hits cruising altitude. I also prefer to wear shoes that slip on and off very easily as it’s one less hassle when going through security checks in airports.
But over all, wear what you want! Most passengers are too busy with their own worries and lives to care about what anyone else is wearing.
